Saturday the 1st of July we did a 10 mile walk from Grassington on a beautiful day.

Looking back down towards Threshfield...

We had wonderful views of Wharfedale throughout the walk...

Following the walk we had a well deserved meal at the Devonshire in Grassington which we all enjoyed.


Sunday 30th of July, ten members met in Malham for a 9 mile walk.

The weather was beautiful a perfect walking day.....

The company was excellent......

For our meal following the walk we went to the Listers Arms for a fabulous meal.

Thank you all for your company we had a brilliant day.


Sunday 30th July 8 members set off from Kettlewell to walk up to Capplestone Gate.

The weather could have been better we had rain, sun, cloud and on the top it was very windy.

The scenery was spectacular....

This is the view as we start the descent back down into Kettlewell.

Following the walk we had a superb meal at the Kings Head in Kettlewell, well worth a visit!


Sunday the 13th of August 10 walkers set off from linton on a beautiful day.

We walked through Thorpe and up onto the top of the moors above Cracoe.                                         The views were spectacular!

We walked to the War Memorial above Cracoe and enjoyed the wonderful 360 degree views.

We left the views behind and carefully decended into Cracoe and then walked back across the fields to Linton.

We then enjoyed a superb meal at the Fountain Inn in Linton, another fabulous day spent with super views, brilliant weather and lovely company. 


Sunday the 20th of August, 7 members set off from Keld in Swaledale for an eleven mile walk on a beautiful day.

This is the waterfall just down from the car park in Keld.

The views were fabulous all day. We walked up to Tan Hill and then round to Ravenseat where Amanda Owen the Yorkshire Shepherdess lives with her family. We enjoyed tea and delicious scones before we headed back to Keld.  

Back in  Keld we had a fabulous meal at The Keld Lodge.  Another wonderful day, thank you all for your company.


Sunday 24th of September, 12 members set off from Water Sinks car park in Malhamdale for an eight mile walk over Darnbrook Fell.

The weather was just perfect for walking..

The views were wonderful all the way....

After the walk seven members enjoyed another fabulous meal at the Listers Arms in Malham a perfect end to a perfect day.


Saturday 7th of October, 8 members walked from Kettlewell over to Arncliffe and back.

The weather was a lot better than the forecast...

Over the top and now looking down into Littondale...

Heading back down into Kettlewell, where we enjoyed another superb meal at the Kings Head, thank you all for your company.


Sunday the 22nd of October 7 members set off from Horton in Ribblesdale on a very wild, wet and windy day.

Here we are towards the end of the walk, very wet and bedragled after battling through high winds and floods.

These photos were taken when we checked the walk out and show the beautiful views that we didn't see on the day.

Following the walk we went down to the Lion in Settle for a well deserved meal. Despite the awful weather we all enjoyed the walk and the lovely company.


Sunday 5th of November 9 members walked up Pendle Hill on a beautiful sunny day.

Half way up and coffee break....

Almost at the top now, the views are stunning........

On the top and lunch, we could see the Dales and the Lakes and over to the power station on the M62...

We then made our way down to the Pendle Inn for a lovely meal. We had great weather a great walk and excellent company.


Saturday 18th November we left Burnsall on a sunny, cold and crisp day heading for Trollers Gill.

The walk was beautiful with fabulous scenery all the way round.

Following the walk we enjoyed a superb meal at the Red Lion in Burnsall.

An enjoyable day with lovely company.


Sunday 3rd of December 7 members set off from Pateley Bridge on a cold but sunny day. 

We walked up to Merryfield Mines...

These sheep were having a very relaxing Sunday..

Back  in Pateley Bridge we had a lovely meal at the Crown.

Really enjoyed the day, thank you all for your company.


Sunday 17th of December we did our Christmas walk from Linton on a cold, wet and icy day. Despite the weather we all enjoyed the walk and a fabulous meal at the Fountainne Inn in Linton

The weather was too bad to get any photos but we still had a very enjoyable day. Thank you all for your company looking forward to lots of lovely walks in 2018.
