Sunday the 20th of January, our first walk of the year. We did an eight mile walk from Grassington.

From Grassington we walked to Hebden and then up Hebden Gill and the leadmines.

The weather was cold but better than the forecast. It was lovely to be out and catch up with everyone

The weather and scenery was very dramatic, we were fortunate to see a barn owl flying as we dropped back down into Grassington.

Following the walk we had a superb meal at the Gamekeepers at Threshfield, we will certainly be back. Thank you all for your company, next walk on Saturday February 9th.

Saturday February 9th - We did a walk from Hetton around Winterburn. The weather forecast was terrible with wet and very windy weather due to Storm Erik. However it was nowhere near as bad as the forecast and we had a lovely walk.

This is at the edge of Winterburn Reservor.

Here we are, almost at the end of the walk.....

Following the walk we drove back to the Gamekeepers Inn in Threshfield and enjoyed another superb meal . Thank you all for your company and for making it another very enjoyable day. Looking forward to our next walk which is on Sunday the 24th of February.

Sunday 24th February - We walked from Bolton Bridge down to Bolton Abbey then up towards the road from Bardon Tower to Embsay.

The weather was amazing for February.

We all enjoyed the walk which took us through Draughton on the way back to Bolton Bridge. After the walk we drove down to the Red Lion at Burnsall for a wonderful meal.

Looking forward to seeing you all on our next walk which is on Sunday 17th of March and is in Malhamdale.

Sunday 17th March - We met at Water Sinks car park in the snow, hail and a very strong biting wind.

We decided that in the dreadful conditions we would do a shorter walk....

As we walked the sun came out and the snow stopped but it was still very cold and windy.

The fresh air and exercise did us all good. Looking forward to our next walk which is on Sunday the 14th of April.

Sunday 14th of April, we met at Rylstone for a lovely 10 mile walk around Cracoe, Linton Winterburn Reservoir, Hetton and back to Rylstone.

It was a very cold day but the views were spectacular.

Here we are enjoying another superb meal at the Gamekeepers Inn in Threshfield, another lovely day with excellent company.                                  Looking forward to our next walk which is on Saturday the 4th of May in Nidderdale.

Saturday 4th of May we did a brilliant 9.5 mile walk from Middlesmoor in Nidderdale

This is walking down towards Scar House Reservoir we were very lucky with the weather so far.

We have walked up the other side of the valley,  enjoying these wonderful views all around.

We have now walked down this very steep hill onto the reservoir road, now we just have to climb back up the fields to Middlesmoor. Weather beautiful despite having a couple of hail showers.

Following the walk we enjoyed a super meal at The Bridge Inn at Wath just outside Pateley Bridge.          Another lovely enjoyable day with the group, thank you all for your company. Looking forward to our next walk in Wharfedale on Sunday the 26th of May.  ****************************************************************

Sunday the 26th of May we met at Conistone near Kilnsey for a 10 mile walk. Below we are heading towards Grassington.

Through Grassington and Threshfield going up towards Kilnsey moor, the weather improving all the way.

Approaching Mastiles Lane on the way back down to Kilnsey.

Fabulous views and weather now. Following the walk we drove back to the Gamekeepers Inn at Threshfield for another superb meal. Another lovely  day, thank you all for your company. Looking forward to our next walk in Malhamale on Saturday the 8th of June.

**************************************************************

Saturday the 8th of June we did a 9.5mile walk from Water Sinks car park above Malham. The weather forecast was correct in that it rained all day.

This is a view of Malham Cove on the way up to the car park.

The mist cleared just enough for us to see           Pen-y-ghent in the distance.

About half way now and looking forward to our meal at the Listers Arms in Malham. Thank you all for turning out on such an awful day. Hope the weather on our next walk, which is on Sunday the 30th of June, is a lot better.

*****************************************************************

Sunday 30th of June, we met at Simonstone Hall near Hawes and got a minibus to Thwaite where we started our climb over Great Shunner Fell.

We are nearly at the top now and the weather is improving, the views are fantastic.

On our way down now overlooking Hawes. Following the walk we had a superb meal at Simonstone Hall when finally the sun came out. Looking forward to seeing you all again on Sunday the 14th of July.
